The 2023 Gala was a success!
Nearly 300 supporters gathered on April 21, 2023 to raise critical funds to support Target Hunger’s food assistance and social service navigation programs. Guests enjoyed a live and silent auction, wine pull, and dancing. We thanked Congresswoman Sylvia Garcia for sponsoring a $4 million Community Project Funding grant for our Rooting for the Future Capital Campaign. She spoke about the important work Target Hunger does to impact children and families in the Houston community. During the event, Valero was awarded the Mary Pappas Award for Exemplary Service, for their dedication to Target Hunger and the Houston community.
Proceeds from the event surpassed our goal, providing the equivalent of over 206,400 meals! We are so grateful for your continued support to make a difference in the lives of hungry Houston families.
