Hello friends of Target Hunger,
First, we truly hope you are well and safe during this unprecedented time.
We are so grateful for your generous gifts which are making it possible for Target Hunger to continue provide food assistance for our vulnerable neighbors and to keep up with the overwhelming demand from COVID-19.
In order to protect the health and safety of staff, volunteers and those we serve; Target Hunger has changed most operations to drive through distributions with food being loaded in car trunks as well as enhanced safety protocols.
In the last two weeks: double food distributions were delivered to 343 senior households, providing meals for up to 10 days; food pantries provided double distributions to existing clients who do not have the resources to stock up; pantry clients increased by 33%; food fairs served 600 emergency clients in addition to regular clients; and mobile distributions provided food for nearly 1000 people.
Thank you for helping us help others who need food now. To let you know how your gift keeps giving, we plan to communicate with you often and hope that’s okay. These are challenging times that underscore how much we all need and depend on each other. Please get in touch with me with suggestions or questions. Together we will get through this.
May you and yours stay well.
With gratitude,
Sandy
