80,000 MEALS THANKS TO YOU!
Despite a rainy start to the day, almost 200 supporters gathered on October 26 to raise critical funds to support Target Hunger’s food assistance and social service navigation programs. Views of the Houston skyline over Buffalo Bayou were the perfect backdrop as guests enjoyed food, drinks, yard games, music, and golf at RiverHouse Houston and adjacent course, East River 9.
Two golf tee times, closest to the pin contests, and a fun raffle with major prizes were some of the activities enjoyed throughout the night. Sponsors, donors, and supporters mingled in the open patio while event co-chairs Kenya & Ronnie Shields and Kelley & Mike Lang made sure to highlight Target Hunger’s mission to alleviate hunger in Houston with inspiring speeches.
Thanks to the wonderful support received, the Sunset Social exceeded its fundraising goal and will be able to provide the equivalent of 80,000 meals to families facing hunger. We deeply appreciate your ongoing support in our mission to create a positive impact in our community. Your unwavering support has continuously lightened the load and provided the essential momentum that has kept both us and numerous community members moving forward.
